Spinal Decompression

Spinal decompression therapy is a non-surgical therapy that treats back and neck pain caused by disc bulges/herniations or degeneration. This treatment works by tractioning the spine, reversing the compressive forces that are constantly applied to the discs in the neck and back. It's these compressive forces that cause the discs to bulge or herniate thereby putting pressure on the nerves of the spine. Most patients find that decompressive therapy actually provides immediate relief of their symptoms including the radiation of pain, numbness or tingling down the arms or legs.

On average, each treatment will take between 15 and 30 minutes depending on your special needs. The successful outcome of this treatment is based on consistency. The frequency of care is usually 3 times a week for 8 weeks. Some cases require more treatment, some cases require less. A determination will be made for your specific condition when we do a complete history/examination and review your medical records. Rarely are individuals not a candidate for this type of treatment except in the case of spinal fusion or metal implants or hardware.

Some insurance companies may have provisions for this care. Our clinic will verify your coverage prior to starting treatment and you will know your exact benefits or out of pocket costs before any services are performed.
